Keystone Animal Hospital is staffed by a dedicated and professional group of people who love animals and respect the needs of clients.  All our veterinarians are USDA Certified to do Interstate & International Health Certificates.


Tonya Nowell-Neville, DVM

Dr. Nowell graduated from North Carolina State College of Veterinarian Medicine in 1992. She is married to Dr. Christopher Neville and has two children. She makes their home with four dogs, four cats, one fish, one bird, and a rabbit. She opened Keystone Animal Hospital in 2002 and works as the primary veterinarian. She and her family serve as volunteers to support Oxford area businesses, their church, schools, community, and animal & veterinary organizations. She enjoys gardening, hiking, reading and watching her kids play sports.


Christopher J. Neville, DVM

Dr. Neville graduated from North Carolina State College of Veterinarian Medicine in 1992. He is married to Dr. Tonya Nowell-Neville and has a son and a daughter. He enjoys working with both large and small animals. He enjoys NCSU sports, church, family, and his numerous animals at home. He is currently on the Lighthouse Youth Center’s board of directors and makes an effort to support Oxford by shopping and volunteering in his home town.


Donald Schroder, DVM

Dr. Schroder was born in Springfield, Delaware County. He grew up in the West Chester area. He attended Salesianum High School, were he decided he wished to become a veterinarian. To accomplish this,he received a Bachelor degree from Penn State in Animal Production (later became Animal Science) in 1990. While not immediately gaining admittance to veterinary school, he furthered his education with a Master of Science degree in Laboratory Animal Science.. This degree came from Hahnemann University (now Drexel University) in 1993. While attending school and applying (unsuccessfully) he worked has a veterinary/kennel assistant at a large multi doctor clinic in West Chester. Finally to fulfill his dream he applied to and was accepted to the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St Kitts. He graduated in 2000, after doing his clinical year at the University of Missouri. Upon graduation he worked in several clinic both big and small both in New York and Pennsylvania. From 2012 until they closed in 2016, he was at the Applebrook Veterinary Clinic. There he was the sole small animal vet,but also assisted the large animal vets. In 2016 he became the junior associate veterinarian at the Keystone Animal Hospital. His veterinary interests include internal medicine and pathology. When not working his hobbies are r/c aircraft, model trains, bird watching and painting
