Wellness & Vaccinations

Because companion animals age at a much faster rate than we do, regular wellness exams are one of the most important components of your pet’s overall care. In fact, a commitment to wellness care is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your pet. Keystone Animal Hospital, in alignment with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), recommends that you bring your pet in for a complete wellness exam at least once a year. This can greatly improve the quality and length of your pet’s life.

We’ve created a comprehensive system of care that is designed to add as many years to your cherished pet’s life as possible. Through these annual visits, our doctors are able to develop a complete profile of your pet’s overall health and then use this information to measure and monitor their health over time. Should any changes occur, we will be able to catch them right away and address them before they can develop into a more serious and costly problem.

The complete wellness services provided to patients at Keystone Animal Hospital include:

    • Thorough “Nose to Tail” Physical Examination

    • Customized Vaccination Plan

    • Heartworm Testing

    • FeLV/FIV Testing

    • Fecal Analysis

    • Deworming

    • Flea & Tic Control

    • Heartworm Prevention

    • Geriatric Examination

    • Microchipping

    • Nutrition Consultation

Comprehensive puppy and kitten wellness packages are also available to help keep your new pet happy and well, and help them develop into a strong, healthy adult.

At Keystone Animal Hospital, we don’t want to just be there for you when your pet is sick. We want to provide the regular care needed to prevent them from becoming ill in the first place. We encourage you to make the commitment to wellness care that your pet deserves so that he or she can enjoy a long, happy and healthy life.

Client Education

At Keystone Animal Hospital, we place a strong emphasis on client education. We want to arm our clients with as much information regarding the care of their pets as possible. With so many technological advances over the past several decades, pet owners now have access to more information online than ever before. The problem is, not all pet care advice that can be found on the web is accurate. At Keystone, we want to help set the record straight. We’ll gladly provide you with any information, advice and guidance you need to keep your pet happy and healthy.

We also feel strongly about the ongoing education of our staff. Even as qualified veterinary professionals, there is still much to learn about providing the most comprehensive and effective veterinary care to our patients. We place continuing education and professional development at the top of our priority list and remain dedicated to staying abreast of all the things necessary to ensure that your pet will continue to receive the best possible care.
